Skier from a Small Island - Feb 5

Do you know where Tonga is? It is a small island country in the South Pacific. The country is known for its warm weather and its rugby players, but this year Tonga is sending someone to the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Pita Taufatofua went to the Rio Summer Olympics two years ago and competed in taekwondo. Then he decided that he wanted to compete in the Winter Olympics, too. There is no snow in Tonga, but he decided to try cross country skiing. He trained on roller blades first and then went to Europe to practice on snow. He qualified in just one year. That is impressive!
